Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of My Committee AI (the "Service"), operated by True Serendipity Pty Ltd (ABN 71 629 918 930) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you ("you", "your") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is — and what it is not
My Committee AI is a software tool that helps the chairperson and committee of an Australian body corporate carry out administrative tasks — including drafting notices and letters, generating meeting minutes, tracking deadlines and decisions, storing documents, and answering questions grounded in legislation and the documents you provide.
The Service is not legal advice. It is not a law firm, a strata manager, or a substitute for either. We are not your lawyers and no lawyer–client relationship is created by your use of the Service. Information and documents produced by the Service are general in nature and may not be correct, complete, or suitable for your particular scheme or situation.
You are responsible for obtaining your own professional advice (legal, financial, or strata-management) where appropriate before acting on anything produced by the Service.
2. AI output is a draft for you to review
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text, including answers to questions and draft documents. All output is a draft. You must read, check, and verify it before relying on it, sending it, or acting on it.
AI can produce information that is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or not applicable to your scheme. You — not us — are responsible for reviewing every output for accuracy and suitability, and for the consequences of using it. Where the Service refers to legislation or cites a section, you should confirm the current law before relying on it.
3. Eligibility and accounts
The Service currently supports Queensland body corporate schemes regulated under the Standard Module only. It is not designed for other regulation modules or other states, and we make no representation that it is suitable for them.
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for your scheme. One account is intended per scheme, held by the committee member who manages it (typically the chairperson). You are responsible for:
- keeping your login details secure;
- all activity that occurs under your account; and
- ensuring the information in your account is accurate.
Notify us promptly at support@mycommitteeai.com.au if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
4. Your content and your responsibilities
"Your Content" means everything you upload to or enter into the Service — including by-laws, minutes, levy and financial records, correspondence, and information about other people such as lot owners.
You retain ownership of Your Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and use Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (including processing it through the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy).
You represent and warrant that:
- you have the right to upload and use Your Content, including any personal information about other people; and
- your use of the Service complies with all laws that apply to you, including your obligations under the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997 (Qld), its regulation modules, and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
You must not use the Service to do anything unlawful, to upload malicious code, to attempt to breach the security of the Service, or to use it in a way that infringes the rights of others.
5. Free trial, fees, and billing
Free trial. New accounts may start a 30-day free trial. No payment is required to begin the trial. We may change or withdraw trial offers at any time.
Fees. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. Current plans and prices are shown on our website. Prices are in Australian dollars and are exclusive of GST, which we add where applicable. Subscriptions are charged per scheme.
Billing and renewal. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually, as you select) and renew automatically for further periods until cancelled. Payments are processed by our payment provider; by subscribing you authorise the applicable charges.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period. Unless required by law, fees already paid are not refunded for partial periods, and access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
Changes to fees. We may change our fees. We will give reasonable notice of any change before it applies to your next renewal.
6. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, add, or remove features, and we may carry out maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
7. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In particular, we do not warrant that any AI-generated output is accurate, current, complete, or fit for any purpose, or that the Service will meet your requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded (see clause 9).
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 9:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or for any liability or loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated output; and
- our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
You acknowledge that the Service is a low-cost tool that you review and control, and that this allocation of risk is reasonable.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services may come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes those guarantees. Where we are permitted to limit our liability for a failure to comply with such a guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or use the Service in a way that creates legal risk or harms the Service or other users. You may stop using and close your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including clauses 4, 7, 8, 9, and 12) survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app). Your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
